Come Out May Be Close For Gingerbread Android Model
The launch of the Gingerbread Android system may be close enough to drop on Black Friday. Nothing is entirely known. Nevertheless, Gingerbread is the all but verified name of Android 2.3, and Google just published Twitter pictures of Android emblem shaped gingerbread cookies. The predicted Nexus S smartphone is also rumored to be the first phone running Android 2.3.
Rumors of Gingerbread Android
Apple updates aren’t the only thing people can’t wait for. New versions of the Android OS are exciting also. The most recent Android OS was Android 2.2, dubbed Froyo, had been released in late 2009. Éclair was the Android system released before that. The Gingerbread Android OS rumors haven’t come with any kind of release date. Of course, when Google put pictures of gingerbread cookies in the form of the Android logo the rumors went flying. Video footage also showed that there is new things on the Google campus. The Android statue area, reports PC Magazine, has a new statue. The features of the newest OS for the smartphones aren’t entirely known, as the finer points aren’t being fully disclosed yet. There isn’t a release date for the Gingerbread. There isn’t a rumored one even.
Releasing with Nexus S
The Nexus One sequel has been talked about for a when as the next generation of Google phones. The release by HTC Of the Nexus S which is the newest Nexus phone is something the majority are waiting for. It may be the first phone with the Android 2.3 too. Daily Tech reports this. Nobody has confirmed anything. That doesn’t stop the rumors of the Nexus S being the first phone with Gingerbread on it. Google will be better off with a quicker release.
Christmas fight for it
For retail, Christmas is a big time. In fact, that is where retail is most used. Right now, the rumors for the Android Gingerbread OS and Nexus S are still rumors. It seems like many may try to show down for Black Friday though with the release of iOS 4.2 coming soon.
